Honey and Almond Apple Tart

150 g. butter

100 g. sugar

150 g. almond powder

3 large eggs

raw honey

4 apples (Granny Smith, Golden, Gala, etc.)

almond flakes 


Remove the butter from the fridge to soften. In a bowl, mix the butter and the sugar. Add the almond powder to the mix. Add the eggs one by one. Mix until smooth. 

Cut 2 apples into small cubes and place them in a saucepan; add a bit of butter and 2 tablespoons of honey to caramelize and soften. 

To make the recipe easy, we use ready-made puff pastry. Follow the instructions on the packet and place the puff pastry in a suitable tray for baking. With a fork, pinch the dough everywhere. Spread the caramelized apples over the puff pastry. Add the almond cream on top. 

Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1/2 cm slices. Arrange the apple slices in concentric circles over the cream. Generously sprinkle with raw honey on top. Sprinkle with almond flakes. Bake the tart for 35 – 40 minutes until the cream is cooked.  

You can serve it warm or cold, and it’s perfectly partnered with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
